The input data in this case are the GRIB files for the ICON-2I surface and pressure levels for the deterministic run with 2.2 km spatial resolution, forecast range 72 hours, available from the public Meteohub Open Data.
The post-processing involves spatial interpolation of the 2-m temperature for Turin and Rome, and temporal aggregation (from 1-hour to 24-hour).
The output data is a structured JSON file that is fetched by the otherwise static frontend using the Alpine.js JavaScript micro-framework.
